Your Parcel Safe unit is a high-quality home safety appliance that should be handled with care. Most units have a 110V plug-in, electronic circuitry, 2.5Ghz WiFi, and MQTTS messaging protocol. Avoid directly spraying the unit with pressurized water. Depending on where your Parcel Safe unit is located, for installation we recommend consulting local building codes and a licensed electrician.
Your Parcel Safe unit is made of 14-gauge steel, stainless steel hardware, and conformal coated electronics for durability and to help resist adverse weather environments. The exterior and interior shell and some steel parts are powder coated for protection and to maintain surface durability. It is important that during unpacking, installation and usage, the unit be treated as one would handle any new, high-quality appliance-like product. While the door and latching mechanism are made of durable materials and finishes, care in opening and closing the unit is important for long term durability of the unit. Sometimes parts will get scratched or dented while in use and Parcel Safe units are designed modularly. Some parts, such as doors and the electronic plate, can be replaced by an experienced appliance service person in your area. If necessary, call our help desk for more information about how to remove and replace certain component parts.
